Avissinia is a fishing card game from Greece. The aim is to capture top cards from a central pile on the table, by playing a card from hand which matches at least the top of a table card. Picked up cards are placed face up in front of the player to form a pile. The dealer deals six cards to each player and four cards face up in the centre in a pile. Then, each player in turn must play one card. This card may capture one or more cards from the central pile, capture from a players pile, be added to his own pile or simply laid on top of the central pile. Winning is rather not a matter of luck, since it is required good memory and a lot of strategy. You may select to play either the normal game or the partnerships Avissinia. You play it with a french-suited card deck.
