In 2142 the aliens arrived. Nobody new where they came from, but it was obvious their objective was the conquest of Planet Earth.
The government called upon the newly commissioned flagship of Earth Defence Force under the command of Captain Giles Sterling and his brave crew to fight the alien invaders. They failed with the loss of all hands However, they did buy us enough time to evacuate our best and brightest to the newly constructed Moonbase New London , our last stronghold.
You are Arthur T. Sterling, son of Giles Sterling.
Your Mission: To defend Moonbase New London from the alien bombardment and save mankind.
